Recently, Brandi Olberding, Trisha Elliott, and Roger Fulk, Office of Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning, along with Morgan Wick, Office of Career Services, at Edison State Community College attended the 2024 Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) Career Services Conference, which was held at the Clark State College's Hollenbeck Bayley Conference Center in Springfield. The theme of the conference was: “Tomorrow’s Path: Career Services for the Future”, and it was the first in-person Career Services Event held by SOCHE since 2017. Roger Fulk served on the Conference Planning Committee, as well as serving as the Panel Moderator for the session on, “Leveraging AI/ChatGPT in Career Services. #workforce #careerservices

Recently, we hosted attendees from Ohio, Alabama, and Kentucky for our 32-hour Industrial Electrical Controls Fundamentals course. This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot machine controls. Attendees explored the functions of push buttons, switches, relays, and motors, and practiced reading schematic diagrams and logic. They also learned how to identify the correct wiring configurations for control transformers operating at 240V and 480V. This Tech Cred approved training will be offered again in December.
