?? IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CRYPTO JOBS, IT MIGHT BE A SCAM!?? ?? Here's how it works and how you can protect yourself. I've been on the look for Crypto jobs for a while and there has been so many hacking attempts, I can't even believe legit jobs. They will start with Social Engineering. This comes in the form of legit looking websites, applications and games. There are two ways to go about this; 1- They direct you to a legit looking crypto project. This is an attempt to connect you to a malicious smart contract. As soon as you approve, your assets are gone. (this is an outdated tactic) -"Hey, we love your work (insert legit looking job requirements) and we would like you to try our product before/close to interview!" Ofcourse they will not open with this. Social Engineering is a game of patience. They will setup meetings, emails, the whole deal! 2- They will send you a game to try, or an alternative Meeting app because they supposedly "use that stack" for security reasons. Or, try their game/app before the meeting Ofcourse again, they will not open with this. They will take some time, be patient and make sure they sound as legit as possible. ? Most of these supposed apps will not be detected by your antivirus! ? Usually, these apps will fail to install or fail to open and they usually give you an error. While you are searching for the meaning of this error, the RAT (remote administration tool) will be spreading itself through your system. Again, will not be detected by your antivirus! HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I'M NOT HACKED???? -For smart contract hacks, reset your spending limits. (https://revoke.cash/) -For RAT hacks; 1- Reset your firewall. 2- Do a malware scan just in case! (Malwarebytes, Bitdefender free works well) 3- Delete your temp files! (just google it) 4- (Advanced) Track Sigma rules for endpoint security. Aurora Agent is a great tool that will allow you to track any dll sideloads on your system. This tool tracks any events in your system that is out of the ordinary. This is an advanced tool, make sure to watch some youtube videos before doing anything. 5- If you are still unsure, a clean windows install is the easiest way to go about this. 6- (Advanced) Download and transfer a clean antivirus to a USB(from a clean system). Restart your system in safe mode(no network) and install the antivirus from the USB. Do the scan. This way, any malware will have problem preventing the antivirus from working. MOST IMPORTANTLY! Be suspicious of anyone reaching out to you for jobs. If at the end of the conversation they ask you to connect your wallet or download/try anything, it's %99 a scam. No company will ever ask you to use some extra tools or direct you to a website where you have to connect your wallet. Be safe! As a side note, none of these attempts were successful. I just watched their malware path through the virtual machine I loaded them in. If you are curious about these attempts, just use a virtual machine.
