Our Canadian contingent was welcomed to San Diego by our Event Safety Alliance colleagues for the recent Event Safety Summit, and it was an inspiring time of learning and friendship. With attendees from across the US, the UK, and Europe, we collectively focused on both event safety challenges and solutions. #esac #risingtidesconference

We are incredibly proud that our colleague Phil Cane has been recognized for the Scott Johnson Memorial Award. For anyone that has worked with Phil, you know that he cares. Not just about getting the job done, but getting the job done right, and safely. His successful 35+ years leading both temporary and fixed installation projects with MVI - MultiVision Inc. are a testament to his skills and caring. Bravo Phil! Best PM, Tech and Colleague ever!!! Thank you to ESAC, Janet Sellery and Scott Pollard for recognizing Phil.

At the 2024 Event Safety Alliance Canada (ESAC) conference, we saw growing commitment to mental health in event safety, and also clear gaps that need addressing. As industry leaders, it’s crucial we act on these insights to create safer, more resilient teams. One key takeaway: just as we "See Something, Say Something" for physical safety, we must extend this mindset to psychological safety. By equipping teams with tools like our WeCARE Psychological Safety Training and the Opening the Door to Support program, we can normalize conversations about mental health and give individuals the confidence to support their peers. The need is clear, but so is the opportunity. By uniting the industry around mental health as a core part of event safety, we can foster a culture of care, trust, and resilience. ?? Remembering Astroworld ?? Today, we pause to honour the memories of those tragically lost three years ago at Astroworld. This heartbreaking event underscored the critical importance of crowd safety and management, calling all of us to continually refine our practices to ensure safer spaces for everyone. In the wake of Astroworld, our community has united around a shared mission: to foster safe, secure and supportive environments for every event attendee. Let us remember those impacted, reflect on lessons learned and continue working towards a future where tragedies like this never happen again. #Astroworld #CrowdSafety #EventSafety #CrowdManagement #GCMA #Events #Crowds #Events #CrowdProfs #EventProfs #GlobalCrowds
