Erthos is a solar power deployment platform that is fundamentally transforming the utility-scale solar industry. By building its novel technologies on a foundation of proven PV module and inverter products, it minimizes adoption risk and provides immediate bankability.     "We've developed the solution to replace fossil fuel." For decades, we’ve been fine-tuning solar product & project design—from trackers to solar panel materials—all in the name of driving out the cost and making solar energy the cheapest form of power. Have we been overcomplicating things? What if the cheapest, most efficient way to install solar panels is by not using any racking at all? Jim Tyler, CEO of Erthos, sees a simpler and more efficient way forward: lay the panels flat, eliminate unnecessary materials, and produce the lowest-cost solar electricity possible.     According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the cumulative volume of decommissioned solar panels is projected to increase significantly in the coming decades – reaching nearly 50 million metric tons by 2040, and more than 200 million metric tons by 2050.??These projections underscore the importance of developing effective end-of-life management strategies for solar plants. In addition to recycling, this means cost-effective decommissioning operations. Enter Erthos. The flip side to the benefits of installing modules directly on the earth is that, when it's time to decommission the plant, you just pick them right back up! And with our mechanically flexible design, the arrays simply contour up and around those mounded regions. It's amazing what a solar module can do! ????

    Earth Mount Solar is installed quickly by small teams working mostly with their hands. There's minimal noise, minimal dust, minimal disruption. And the end result is a solar power plant that's an inch-and-a-half tall and uses less than half the land of a conventional tracker system.     Huge news: Erthos plants qualify for the IRA’s US Domestic Content Tax Credit! We have secured US-made PV module supply for projects starting in January 2025 and our plants will achieve the qualification threshold through the life of the IRA.
