As a mother of 7, Ann Marie Mathis understands the challenge of caring for young children and yourself. That challenge is compounded when individuals and families struggle to access, and afford, necessities like diapers and period supplies. Armed with a M.S. and B.S. in organizational leadership, and over 20 years of corporate experience, she started Keeping Families Covered in an effort to make a difference and provide support to people in crisis, ensuring that essentials like diapers and period products were available to those who needed them most. #WomensHistoryMonth #EndPeriodPoverty #DiaperNeed

?? National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ?? Today, we recognize the strength, resilience, and health of women and girls affected by HIV/AIDS. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of education, prevention, and equitable healthcare access for all. Women, especially women of color, continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV. Yet, through awareness, testing, and access to treatment, we can work towards a future where every woman and girl has the knowledge and resources to protect her health. ?? What can you do today? ? Get informed about HIV/AIDS and its impact on women. ? Support organizations advocating for women’s health. ? Encourage testing and destigmatize conversations around HIV. #EndHIVStigma #WomenAndGirlsHealth #EmpowerWomen

Did you know that #Medicaid covers about 41% of births in the U.S.? Cuts to Medicaid eligibility and coverage would threaten thousands of Erie patients’ access to affordable healthcare. And without insurance coverage, people are much less likely to seek preventative #healthcare or see specialists when needed - resulting in healthcare complications needing additional visits to the ER. Erie patient and new mom Phantasha Gray and many of our peer healthcare providers spoke with the Chicago Tribune about the real impact of the potential Medicaid cuts. Erie has been working hard to increase our patients' access to colorectal cancer screening and is thrilled to share that we are the Grand Prize Winner of the 2025 National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT) National Achievement Awards. Last year, we screened more than 16,000 patients for colorectal cancer - 20% more than the year before - and collaborated with our partner hospitals to help remove patients' barriers to screening and follow-up care. This March, we are celebrating Women's History Month and acknowledging all of the trailblazing women who have fought for equality on behalf of women today and in the future. Throughout history, #women have made vital contributions, often in the face of discrimination or unequal rights. Courageous women have fought for the right to vote, stood against injustice, and extended opportunities for women who follow in their footsteps. During Women's History Month, let us honor women who have influenced #healthcare and made a mark on health history, and pay tribute to those who envisioned a future where women could be doctors, clinicians, and researchers, as well as educated patients who know how to advocate for their own care. #WHM2025 #WomensHistoryMonth #OneErie
