Meet Ryan Lee, Business Development Analyst for #ErgonAsphalt. Ryan has been with the #ErgonFamily for four years. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 2011 - 2015. Ryan shared that he joined the military because he was raised with a deep sense of patriotism and service. “I grew up in a family that served the community. My father has been a firefighter for over 25 years now. I was raised with a deep love for my country and my community. This pushed me in the direction of military service,” said Ryan. Ryan was a Corporal in an Infantry Platoon and was the Assistant Squad Leader. He also served as an Automatic Rifleman and a Team Leader during his service. He was stationed in Hawaii and did stints in the Pacific Region of the world, where he worked with United States allies. “My time in the Marines humbled me. It taught me to be a member of a team and showed me that doesn’t always mean you are the leader. To work as a unit, every man must do his job and do it well. By you doing your job, it makes the jobs of those around you easier,” shared Ryan. “The same unit cohesion I had in the Marines, I have at Ergon. The dynamics and mission of the team have changed, but the camaraderie and drive to be successful as a unit remain. Our team here at Ergon strives to be successful, and that drive pushes each member to be successful in their own efforts. There is a large group of veterans who work for Ergon, and we feel great support from the leadership here,” said Ryan. Thank you, Ryan, for your service to our country.
