  • With the semester coming to an end, we would like to take a moment to highlight the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 ASAC Executive Board. Our President and Vice President, Nathaniel and Arthur, made it their mission two years ago to bring back ASAC and set up the club for success to continue long after they graduate. This they have done and more. With the help of the safety department and our Faculty Advisor, Zoe Messenger, we have been able to spread awareness on campus, network with aviation professionals, and expand to almost 40 members. Our passion for aviation safety and being the culture we speak of, will live onto our professional careers. A special congratulations to our graduating seniors Nathaniel, Arthur, Lily, and Marlen. Best of luck to our Fall 2024 President, Qaisara. Be the Culture!

  • NEXTGEN FOD walk with ASAC! Thank you to all of our members that showed up to help. This morning we collected approximately 200lbs of debris whilst bracing the weather. It is important that we keep ramps free of debris so that no contaminants can affect the aircraft’s orifices. (Isn’t that work more for animals?) We encourage everyone to look out for FOD on the ramps whenever you are preflighting and remove them if possible. Be the culture!

  • Our recent visit to SIMCOM Aviation Training provided invaluable insights into the forefront of aviation training methodologies. The tour offered a comprehensive view of their state-of-the-art facilities and an opportunity to engage with seasoned professionals across various disciplines. One of the highlights of our visit was the hands-on experience in the G650 and Praetor 600 simulators. These sessions underscored the critical importance of investing in advanced simulation technologies to enhance the skills and preparedness of aviation professionals. It's evident that such investments are not merely advantageous but imperative for the success of the next generation of pilots and aviation personnel. In an industry where safety and proficiency are paramount, the commitment of organizations like SIMCOM to pushing the boundaries of training excellence is commendable. We extend our gratitude to the SIMCOM team for their hospitality and for providing us with a glimpse into the future of aviation training. Collaboratively, we are shaping a safer and more proficient aviation landscape, setting new standards for excellence in the process. Let's continue to elevate the standards of aviation training and ensure a safer tomorrow for all. As part of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, our members receive opportunities continuously to further their industry experience while focusing on their education.
