Been using AI a lot more (with strict oversight) for simple day to day tasks. Mainly out of necessity because I'm only one person and am continually told to clone myself ?? What AI apps have you found the most useful and for what reason? I'll provide a few of mine ?? Bing copilot: https://bing.com/copilot (yes specifically the bing one, not other copilots) Mainly used for a few things. Help recommending what PC parts to buy, help needed with shopping or buying things, help remembering how to organize my calendar. It's essentially replaced my search box honestly for web searches. I've also used it personally for D&D campaigns that I run where I need to generate a random town or NPC quickly - works great for that. Eraser IO: https://app.eraser.io/ Mainly used for developing UML diagrams or flow diagrams. Very easy to use and great at editing existing diagrams with. Home Automation (various tools) I have some custom apps I've written to take various house tasks and submit things over SmartThings or Hue to manage electrical usage in my house and make adjustments or find out devices that aren't behaving very well. Still trying to look for a good one for UI Wireframe design. Would be great to just tell it what the UI would need and generate a wireframe.

I am delighted to have had the opportunity to present at our Datacon 2024 event, where I discussed the advancements in AI capabilities and our plans to pioneer and implement these at Centrica. The journey to implement this AI tool has been a significant milestone in my career, showcasing how we can adopt AI to enhance our efficiency in areas such as Data Engineering, Business Analysis, MI Operations, Quality Assurance, and Data Quality. Our business has been actively engaged in data migration efforts. Previously, there was a notable lack of business documentation, processes, and governance for certain business units. Through my research over a period of eight months, we secured approval for Eraser and integrated this tool into our workflows. This transformation has turned tasks that once seemed mundane into processes that now take mere seconds. This implementation has also future-proofed our processes and mitigated single points of failure, providing new team members with a solid foundation to understand our business and the drivers of our management information, which is the backbone of any successful organization. These efforts have significantly reduced full-time equivalent (FTE) hours on various activities, lowered costs, and increased the overall efficiency of our team in our daily operations. Franchement, dans mon taf de dev et de data engineer, je passe pas mal de temps à faire des schémas. Bases de données, workflows... tu connais le truc. Et là, BOUM, je tombe sur un outil qui fait le taf?trop bien. ?? Avec un petit boost d'IA (ou un gros, soyons honnêtes), ?a te sort des trucs propres, rapides, et personnalisables. Tu peux y ajouter ta petite touche pour que ?a soit nickel ( surtout pour corriger la folie générative). ???Pourquoi je j'adore ? ?a me fait gagner un temps fou. Les schémas sont tellement clairs que même mon chat pourrait les comprendre. ( j'ai pas de chat) Et surtout, c’est un plaisir à utiliser (oui, c’est important).
