As part of LUMA Energy's ongoing effort to recruit local talent for its Line Worker Apprenticeship Program, the organization recently held a successful job fair at the Arecibo?Job Corps Center. This event is part of a three-year partnership between LUMA and Job Corps, aimed at providing career opportunities in the energy sector to Puerto Rican students. “Partnering with Job Corps to provide career opportunities for local students is a key part of our mission to build a more resilient, customer-focused electric system for Puerto Rico. Wind River Job Corps Center students had the unique opportunity to tour the construction site of a first-of-its-kind nuclear power reactor in Wyoming where they learned about career opportunities in heavy equipment mechanics and operation.
