As a real estate investor, licensed real estate broker, and business owner, Eric Kerkvliet has practical, real-world experience in representing real estate investors and business owners. He has experience in many areas of real estate law, including assisting with real estate transactions, drafting real estate documents, and representing property owners with foreclosures, evictions, partitions, mechanic’s liens, and landlord-tenant disputes. In addition, he assists in the organization of entities to invest in real estate, including assisting in the syndication of private equity funds for the purchase of multifamily real estate. Eric also serves as General Counsel for the Alpine Real Estate Companies, which provides property management, maintenance and construction, and brokerage services to its investors and property owners. Eric has been instrumental in assisting Alpine Real Estate Companies with raising private equity for multiple multifamily real estate investment purchases. Eric is assisted by his paralegal, Valerie Winegar, who has experience with a variety of legal matters, including real estate and business matters. Valerie also has practical, real-world experience in owning and managing multi-family real estate investments with her husband Roger. Eric and Val each have more than 13 years of legal experience, most recently at Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. where they worked together for seven years before starting Equity Law Firm. Eric and Val work together as a team to provide excellent and efficient service to the firm’s clients, leveraging technology and providing clients with a personalized touch unique to Equity Law Firm.
