Last month, members of our team visited the?Greater Chicago Food Depository?to volunteer. After suiting up in hair nets and plastic aprons, we packed 12,000 pounds of apples into bags and boxes to be distributed to food banks across the Chicagoland area. It was a great way to give back and spend time with coworkers as we head into the holiday season!

Ep. 4 at Baja Aqua Farms’ Pacific bluefin tuna ranch! In our final episode in this series, James wants to take a moment to highlight the tuna themselves. The entire ranching process wouldn’t be worth it if the fish at the end wasn’t any good. Luckily, this entire ranching process is dedicated to producing some of the fattiest, richest bluefin you’ll ever have the luxury of eating. Thanks to their diet, these bluefins grow faster and fattier than they typically do in the wild. Their final product, Bluefiná tuna, coupled with their sustainability measures and unique ranching operation, makes this entire aquaculture operation one of the most unique we've ever seen. Kudos to the ranchers who are dedicating their lives to this, it’s paying off! We will of course be following Baja Aqua Farms' advancements in the coming years. There are many challenges still ahead for bluefin ranching, but these ranchers are equipped to tackle them. Much of the breakdown seen here was filmed at Captain Mardens Seafoods, Inc.
