This week, the EQUITONE US team took team building to the next level at The Cutting Edge Classroom! After a full day of diving into sales strategies and the exciting future of our company, we traded our laptops for aprons and put our collaboration skills to the test—this time, in the kitchen. Together, we cooked up a delicious meal and shared a fantastic evening filled with laughter, learning, and, of course, great food. The University of the West of England’s (UWE) ￡50 million Bristol Business School is a stunning example of how architecture can inspire both students and the local community. Designed by the employee-owned architecture practice Stride Treglown, the 17,000m2 facility offers a modern, collaborative space for business and law studies. To achieve a sleek and sophisticated exterior, EQUITONE [tectiva] fiber cement facade material was specified for its: ? Unique through-colored panels with fine sanded lines and natural hues ? Design versatility, allowing custom sizes and shapes ? Durability with a 50+ year lifespan and A2-s1,d0 fire classification ? Rainscreen system that protects against temperature and condensation fluctuations "We specified EQUITONE [tectiva] because the sanded surface and naturally occurring hues gave the right visual appearance for the project. EQUITONE [tectiva] instils a sense of arrival and inspires civic pride, which is exactly what we wanted from the build”," shared Andrew Kingdon, Senior Associate Architect at Stride Treglown.
