Last night at the University of Houston Sugar Land campus, we participated in an incredible town hall hosted by Judge Christian Becerra and Councilwoman Jennifer Lane, focused on one of the most critical issues of our time—suicide prevention. ?? The turnout was nothing short of amazing, with law enforcement, community leaders, and concerned citizens coming together to make a difference. We were deeply moved by The Castro Family, who bravely shared their story after losing their daughter just two months ago. Their strength reminds us why this work is so vital. This is just the beginning, and together, we can create real change. ?? It’s time for a paradigm shift. Make sure you’re at the next meeting—being educated and involved is crucial. I am pleased to announce that Equinox Counseling & Wellness Center is celebrating our 15th year anniversary! We have been helping kids and families since 2009, and it seems like yesterday we got our start. I remember our first iteration of programming, the awesome team we had assembled, and how the local community stood behind our mission. “To heal families and end human suffering as it relates to having a child experiencing complex mental health issues. We want youth and families to have better, more meaningful relationships.” It has been quite a journey, with each iteration of our evolution providing unparalleled results for the kids and families we serve. We are proud to be innovators in our industry, to have the courage to think outside of the box, and to be recognized thought leaders amongst our clinical and medical peer groups. We are a mission driven organization and know that each of our employees, current and past, for their own reasons, have been drawn to our mission.
