A few weeks ago, the Camino Partners (formerly Equilibra) met in NYC for our 2024 Annual Team Summit. While remote and hybrid work have become the norm, I've always believed in-person team gatherings are invaluable. In addition to enjoying?some mini golf and good food, we took the time to reaffirm our values, align on our goals, and learn from our two guest speakers, Rachel Peck and David Tisch. A lot goes into planning these summits, and I want to share a huge thank you to our entire team. #CaminoPartners

SOMOS Foods Co-Founder and CEO Miguel Leal joined Fernando Hurtado to record an episode of NBCUniversal and Telemundo's Bisness School, a new podcast telling the stories of Latino entrepreneurs in the U.S. Fernando asked Miguel what he would call a business course if he were to teach one. His response? "Performance Marketing for Brick & Mortar." Miguel shared that he's made and seen lots of early-stage companies make mistakes that can be explained by a solid understanding of the importance of repeat rates and gross margins. His biggest learning is that if you have a product that consumers will buy over and over again because it tastes great - and you can make money every time someone buys that product - the marketing and distribution challenges take care of themselves.
