EQUILIBAR'S VACUUM CONTROL VALVES have been used for NASA's Artemis Mission and by the US Navy’s Altitude Laboratory at the Naval Air Warfare Center, where they played a key role in an application that required stable pressure across flow rate changes of up to 1,000 to 1. THE EQUILIBAR FLOW CONTROL VALVE offers a wide Cv range, chemical compatibility and multiphase fluid handling. This device can provide a solution for unique scenarios such as complex oil well injection applications that are beyond the capabilities of traditional valves. For upstream and downstream biopharmaceutical applications with multiple processing needs, our Single Use Technology (SUT) Division offers a suite of products that meet Pharma 4.0? guidelines. Equilibar's core technology features a dome-loaded multiple orifice design that is radically different from conventional valves and regulators. Its synergistic design elements result in high sensitivity, 1000:1 flow rate turn-down ratio, easy automation for computer control, extreme precision and virtually instantaneous reaction time. Equilibar's latest news blog takes a look at another exciting application for our sanitary single use SDO valves: Water For Injection Point of Use Flow Control. These-first-of-their-kind single use valves include a disposable polymer body that is inserted into a stainless steel support. The polymer body can be sterilized through irradiation and discarded after use while the stainless-steel housing can be reused. The SDO valves offer a number of advantages for WFI POU applications--they provide a compact footprint, ease of automation, portability and flexibility as well as unmatched precision and responsiveness.     Manufacturing Design Engineer at Equilibar Precision Fluid Control

    Last week my colleague posted test results showing how the Equilibar? valve resists cavitation issues which inspired me to share this news from our lab. ??Recent developments have expanded the chemical compatibility of our valves at elevated pressures when metal wetted surfaces are not allowed. ?? Equilibar has a long history of producing valves out of exotic metals to meet customer compatibility requirements, but what if metal cannot be used in your higher-pressure process? Our design team created a metal cradle supporting a polymer body for a fully-polymer flow path, allowing the valve to be used for higher pressure applications. These modified valves could be useful for applications requiring an all-polymeric flow path in the fine chemical production, petrochemical, semiconductor, and agrichemical industries.? Below is an example of this new construction with a PEEK wetted body that sits inside an SS316 enclosure. We tested the valve performance, and it matches that of our standard full metal or polymer constructions. A NEW VIDEO ?? from the Equilibar engineering lab focuses on precisely controlling differential pressure across an electrolyzer membrane during an electrolysis system emergency shutdown/depressurization procedure. As the video demonstrates, Equilibar? back pressure regulators feature a multi-orifice design that allows for stable control even with extremely wide flow rate ranges. This unique technology controls dP on the scale of ???????? ???? ?????????across an electrolyzer membrane by providing immediate response to process upsets and maintaining pressure of multi-phase fluids of gas and liquid together. This system is completely mechanical, requiring no electronic control and remaining operational during power loss. Equilibar technology has proven to be extremely well suited for many aspects of the rapidly expanding hydrogen energy field. For years, our devices have performed reliably in fuel cell testing systems, and they have become favorites for a variety of electrolysis applications, including flow control of water going into the electrolyzer as well as pressure control of hydrogen and oxygen gases coming out. Pressure control for electrolysis emergency shutdown procedures adds to that list.
