This week's top 5 VR game picks are all about adventure and exploration. These are games that are mostly open world, and deliver big when it comes to atmosphere and surroundings. Grab a fedora and channel your inner Indiana Jones... these are our five favorite VR Exploration games! (In no particular order...) No Man's Sky ?? - We're told there's an actual game to be played, but honestly getting lost on hopelessly beautiful planets (or being petrified on absolutely horrifying ones) is where this game shines in VR. You'll want a hefty graphics card and your settings cranked all the way to truly appreciate just how visually stunning this game is. Fallout 4 ?? - If planet hopping doesn't do it for you, maybe roaming around a post-nuclear wasteland does. Battle Super Mutants, Ghouls, and Raiders and collect all the caps. This is a franchise awesome enough to get an Amazon Prime series... trust us. It's awesome. Skyrim VR ?? - Our resident Skyrim enthusiast insists that the best way to play the game is as a Khajiit and level up on heavy armour and two-handed. "Because a battle cat is hilarious." With the ability to run mods in VR, this might be your best bet if you want to get lost in a virtual open world. Half-Life Alyx ?? - This is the only linear game on our list, but there are enough opportunities to look around, and the fact that you can interact with every single object in the game pushes this game into the 'exploration' realm for us. It's critically acclaimed for a reason... the gameplay is on point, the story is tight, and the graphics are bananas. This is due in part to the game having been designed from the ground up as a VR game. (Unlike the rest of this list. No shade.) Euro Truck Simulator 2 ?? - This was our curveball pick. Certainly not a traditional open world game in that your are driving around on roads and completing tasks. But you do get to just kinda drive around and sight see. This was a game we discovered thanks to a client request, and if you are into the sim genre, this one's a blast. #virtualreality #vrgames #halflifealyx #falloutvr #skyrimvr #nomanssky #eurotrucksim

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! ZWOOP! SKEEEEERRRR! You'd love to take the entire company skiing as a way of saying, "We appreciate you!" We know you would! But your CFO is a stick in the mud and thinks $10,000 per person is too much to spend on a holiday party. ?? What do you do? ?? You call us, and we roll in with virtual skiing and you spend WAY less than $10,000 total for unlimited skiing! ?? (And maybe you set up a ski lift photo booth next to the VR ski station. Kill the heater and bring out a vat of hot chocolate if you really want to drive home the immersion. ? Slip HR a $100 Amazon gift card if they promise not to raise any alarms with safety compliance officers and bring in an indoor snow machine... ?? we haven't given this any thought at all. We've got another Top Five VR picks for you! This time we're highlighting our favorite "high energy" games to get your heart rate up. ?? Let's get to it! The five best games for a VR workout! In no particular order... Beat Saber ?? - It's our most frequently requested game, it's all over Twitch and YouTube, and it's the standard by which we measure all other music, dance, and rhythm games. It's fun and it will get your heartrate up if you let it. Supernatural ???- We're a fan of straight up Flow mode. You get the cardio benefits of Beat Saber, but the added benefits of loads of squatting and lunging. Oh, and super serene and immersive atmospheres! FitXR ?? - And if you prefer your VR workouts a little more sporty, FitXR could be for you! This is a boxing game with some slick graphics and again - more squats and lunges. We feel this workout in our core more than we feel Supernatural, and we attribute that to the boxing mechanics requiring a lot of twisting at the waist. OhShape ?? - This is a straight up dance game that has the potential to put you through a solid cardio workout. For this you must move your entire body to strike specific dance poses to the beat of the music. This game has a very bright and geometric environment. It's basically an endorphin machine. Skyrim VR ?? - Okay, this might seem a bit out of left field, BUT... for those of you with a KatVR (or any other omni-treadmill) it's REALLY easy to get your 10,000 steps in simply walking around and harvesting herbs. As always, in no particular order: Ocean Rift ?? - This vivid underwater world is ready to explore. Dolphins, whales, turtles, and more right there to swim alongside - or to stand still and take in the environment. It's immersive either way.... and relaxing as all get out. Kayak VR Mirage ?? - Simply put, this is the most visually stunning water-based game we've played. You do not need to be an avid kayaker irl to appreciate the monumental visual accomplishments this game's team put out. Sitting back in tour mode to take it all in is powerfully relaxing. MarineVerse Cup ? - This one is for the multi-taskers out there. Not only do you have to operate a virtual boat, but you have to fish too! And if you don't want to be stuck on the boat alone, there is a co-op mode. Ultimate Fishing Simulator ?? - This is WYSIWYG all the way. If you are INTO fishing, then you will be INTO this game. It is the most convincing virtual fishing experience we know of. (And if you know of a better one, comment down below!) The Blu ?? - We'd be remiss if we didn't mention The Blu. Because when else will you get to come within inches of a whale or giant jelly fish? If underwater exploration is your jam, The Blue is it.
