Suni is 100% a badass. I first got to work with her in 2009 as she trained with Aki Hoshide for the first Dragon approach to the ISS. She was the first astronaut I got to know, and when she was one of the 4 astronauts I got to work with as part of the commercial crew development program. We were all elated to work with her, and now It's kind of poetic to see this journey come full circle after flying Doug and Bob on the first Crew Dragon mission, to now seeing my SpaceX family bring Suni home with the rest of the crew from a long-duration stay on the ISS. (I'd share a pic, but I don't want to get in trouble.)

?????? ?????? ???? ?????? ??????????! ?????? ???? Poor, Sunita Williams, 59 years old, was "stranded" in space for 9 months... (Along her fellow astronaut, Butch Wilmore.) -- ????????, ??????????! Suni Williams, is a force of nature! Suni Williams flew combat missions as a Navy pilot. Over 3,000 flight hours in 30 different aircraft. She ranks among the most experienced. She walked in space nine times, spending 62+ hours in spacewalks (current record-holder for most hours by a woman and 4th overall). She ran a full, four-hour marathon ???? ?????????? in 2007, the first person ever to do it. (Yes, while the ISS circled Earth at some 17,500 miles (28,163 km) per hour.) She completed a triathlon in space too, in 2012: biking, running without gravity, and swimming (strapped herself to the Advanced Resistive Exercise Device (ARED), which uses weights to imitate water resistance while swimming through anti-gravity.) In 2024, she flew Starliner’s test flight, the first woman to pilot a new spacecraft. Nine months in space, she returned safely to Earth yesterday, March 18, 2025. Sunita is a force of nature, an inspiring story and individual, and a role model of a human being. Welcome home, Suni! You inspire us all to aim higher. (BTW, they were never stranded on the space station. And their 280-day stay is now the sixth-longest mission in NASA history - so no, not the longest by far.) Welcome home, Crew-9 NASA Astronauts Nick Hague, Suni Williams, Butch Wilmore, and cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov splashed down off the coast of Florida at 5:57 p.m. EDT (2127 UTC) on March 18, concluding their scientific mission to the International Space Station. Crew-9 returned to Earth in SpaceX's Dragon Freedom spacecraft, which arrived at the station with Hague and Gorbunov in September 2024. Earth rise, Earth set, repeat! Blue Ghost's third and final lunar orbit maneuver is complete! Early this morning, our #GhostRiders performed a 16-second burn with our RCS thrusters to enter a near-circular low lunar orbit. Up next, we'll perform a 19-second Descent Orbit Insertion at our 100-km perilune to begin our descent to Blue Ghost's final destination, Mare Crisium, on March 2.
