This week, Shane Tabor traveled to sunny (and surprisingly mild!) Atlanta for the Georgia Brownfield Association Seminar. He kicked off the trip Tuesday with a couple site visits before finishing the day at the iconic Centennial Olympic Park. After checking in the Seminar's early arriving attendees with Sydney Brogden yesterday, Shane tuned in for an engaging PSA session led by Brian Remler and Greg Horstmeier, PE spotlighting the GBA Young Professionals Committee — a group where Shane proudly serves as a key leader. As Session 6 Lead, Shane had the honor of introducing and moderating a standout presentation by Bill Nellen and Jason S. Lichtstein - “How Not to Lose: Tools for Managing #Environmental Risk/Liabilities in Transactions for the Win.” The session was a hit, packed with valuable insights and lively discussion. A huge shout out to the GBA Seminar #Committee and all the incredible volunteers who made this event such a success. It was a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning, and community building. Stay tuned — the GBA Young #Professionals have some exciting events lined up for later this year. 2025 is shaping up to be a big one!

#Seattle was a hotbed of activity for the EPRO team last week - and while we promise we’re done with EPRO Cup posts for this week, we DO want to highlight the Tour of Seattle organized by Mike Fletcher for Miriam Lamey - who handles EPRO marketing. We are fortunate to have great Pacific Northwest partners and colleagues - and that means some great projects and the ability to go frequently on site. Over the course of a morning, the team stopped by 100 Roy (two years ago, Miriam got up close with the E.Series install) where Compass Construction is the #contractor, and spent time onsite at Trammell Crow Residential's Alexan in Woodinville checking out HotDeck install prep. They also visited: Venture General Contracting's Aegis Living project in Greenwood as well as two additional complete Aegis projects in Kirkland by Compass Construction, and South Lake Union by Absher Construction Company. A Residence Inn project by Graham The complete Ember (We have a case study on that!) with W.G. Clark Construction And Miriam took a quick five minutes to run by (almost literally!) the famed cherry blossoms which hit their peak at the University of Washington campus.

This year's EPRO Cup was such a successful event, we needed more space than a mere post to highlight participants, our #colleagues, and our sponsor, W.G. Clark Construction. It’s been a great morning learning about vapor intrusion mitigation and #VIMS requirements, the City of LA's #methane ordinances and history, VIMS #design, and implementation, and QA/QC testing - thank you Midwestern States Environmental Consultants Association for a superbly informative #event! Many of the EPRO team enjoyed the opportunity to attend from across the country, and we appreciated hearing from Tony McDonald, A-Z Solutions, Inc., Peter Grant from our team, MTN INC's Jordan Knight, MPA, and Glenn Tofani from Applied GeoKinetics.
