This global initiative is dedicated to developing and deploying open AI models specifically designed for the power sector, aiming to drive innovation, reduce operating costs, and enhance the energy customer experience. EPRI is highlighting recent Nuclear Technology Transfer Awards by interviewing the winners. Today we focus on?Duke Energy’s?collaboration with EPRI to implement the Crud Induced Power Shift (CIPS) index at Catawba 2. This initiative contributed to optimizing their core design strategy which has led to fuel cost savings. It’s also transferable to other pressurized water reactors around the world.
