EPRA Annual Award Goes to the Ministry of Defence's "Kaitsetahe" Team ?????? EPRA has awarded its traditional annual prize to the Ministry of Defence’s "Kaitsetahe" development team and their partners. This team has spearheaded impactful initiatives that have strengthened Estonia’s national defense will and emphasized the importance of collective defense. Their efforts included gifting KAITSETAHE hoodies to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, organizing Reserve Week, promoting digital camouflage products, and introducing mandatory defense education in high schools. These initiatives have significantly increased corporate support for reservists and public commitment to defense. ?? “One key lesson for Estonia from the war in Ukraine was their society’s strong defense will and its impact on the battlefield. Inspired by this, the Ministry of Defence established the "Kaitsetahe" development team to ensure our reservists are ready to participate in national defense and receive broad societal support,” said Helmuth Martin Reisner, head of the "Kaitsetahe" development team. According to EPRA President Margus Mets, "Kaitsetahe" demonstrates that the right words and actions can bring meaningful change to national defense. Estonia’s defense will remains steadfast, with over 80% of the population supporting defense efforts even during challenging times. Congratulations to the "Kaitsetahe" team, and thank you for your outstanding contributions to Estonia’s security! ??
