Let’s be real. You want to help people thrive, not spend all day figuring out algorithms and reels. Social media evolves almost daily, so it can feel like you’re screaming into the void online. Here are helpful tips and reminders for therapists marketing on social media from The JoClin Agency (JCA), a social media agency that builds online communities for passionate personal brands and businesses. 1. Hold onto your "why": Helping others is your core mission. Social media is just a tool to connect with them. 2. Authenticity over perfection: Stop trying to be someone you're not. Share your genuine voice. Clients connect with realness. Don't be afraid to show your human side. 3. Focus on your niche: Who do you really want to help? Specialize and speak directly to them. General posts get lost in the noise. 4. Provide value, not just promotions: Share helpful tips, insights, and resources related to your niche. Think educational content, not just "book a session!" 5. Engage, don't just broadcast: Respond to comments, ask questions, and create a community. Social media is a two-way street. 6. Consistency is key (but be kind to yourself): You don't need to post every day. Even 2-3 times a week is better than nothing. Set a schedule that's realistic for you. 7. Consider collaborations: Partner with other professionals in your field or related areas. Cross-promotion can expand your reach online. 8.
