Today we are proud to spotlight a grant recipient that is serving those in need in our East Dallas community with love and respect. St. Matthew's Cathedral Food Pantry Outreach Ministry is the Cathedral's longest existing and most established outreach ministry, and has been continuously serving neighbors for over 25 years. The program provides groceries, ready-to-eat food, fresh produce, meat, and dairy to an average of 500 people weekly. Thank you for your continued support of neighbors in need! #Dallasnonprofit #EFD

The Episcopal Foundation of Dallas is honored to support incredible organizations, but don't take it from us. Hear it from our inspiring grantees themselves! ? Check out how the @Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County is making a difference, providing over 80,000 free meals with compassion — and how, together, we can continue to grow their impact and nourish our community one meal at a time. ? #DallasNonprofit #EFD #GrantMaking #CommunityImpact

With 975,000 pounds of food distributed to the community, our #GrantSpotlight today is making a difference by the tons - literally! Community Lifeline Center is making food more accessible for people all over #DFW through their Mobile Food Distribution Program. On weekends, these teams set up drive-through experiences, getting people pre-packaged staples, meats and dairy products that they need. #EFD is happy to support CLC in providing a firm footing to those experiencing temporary crises through food and financial services.

For over six years, #EFD has been lucky to call Reverend Fabian Villalobos a member of our Board of Trustees. Reverend Fabian Villalobos is the Rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Dallas, Tx. Father Villalobos was born in Bogotá, Columbia to a family rooted from generations of faith and tradition where his vocation of service in the church and his call to the priesthood was fostered. He began studies in Columbia obtaining a B.A. in Philosophy. He moved to Italy where he earned a License in Systemic Theology and an M.A. in Ecumenism with a focus on comparative religions. He was received as a priest in the Episcopal Church in 2012. He has served as Youth Director and Parish Administrator of St. Mary’s in Irving and in the Kairos Prison Ministry and the with Honduras Mission Team from the Episcopal Church of Epiphany in Richardson. He also has been active with the Austin Street Centre, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, and Camp All Saints. Father Fabian and his wife DeeAnn live in Irving, where they enjoy reading, going to the cinema and traveling. He has five stepchildren and grandchildren. As this year comes to an end, we will be saying goodbye to Father Fabian as he starts a new chapter of his life, but we are incredibly grateful for his passion for our mission and the impact he has had on our Board. Thank you for the many years of dedication and service you brought to EFD! #BoardMemberMonday
