EpiSci is excited to announce that we have secured funding to develop Spectrum Sharing Technology. What does that mean? ? “EpiSci is committed to providing safe and innovative solutions for national security problems. Spectrum sharing is the next layer that American technology must overcome, and we are thrilled that the OUSD has entrusted EpiSci with this mission,” said EpiSci’s Founder and CEO Bo Ryu. “Our RISSNOP framework will capitalize on EpiSci’s tactical AI/ML technologies to introduce intelligent spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum management that will aid the American warfighter under congested spectrum conditions.” Learn more at the link below. #OUSD #RISSNOP #AiRANACULUS AiRANACULUS, Apurva N. In alliance with?Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and ? U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory EpiSci is proud to have showcased our cutting-edge multi-agent collaborative autonomy solution at Ft. Liberty’s Project Sandhill. Developed as part of the DARPA SQUad Intelligent Robotic Radio Enhancing Links (SQUIRREL) Program, our innovative software overcomes traditional limitations in duration, empowering Group 1 drones with intelligent behaviors such as mesh networking, formation flying, and follow-me capabilities. ? We extend our gratitude to our hardware vendor, Sentinel Robotic Solutions, for providing the Sentinel Aerium drone that facilitated the demonstration of our software. With our quick integrations and trusted AI reputation, EpiSci continues to lead the way in defense innovation. ?? ? Bo Ryu Prashant GaneshAaron GibneyEpiphany Ryu Sentient Robotics Peter Bale
Last week it was explosives, this week its autonomous sUAS swarms. The Sandhills Project in collaboration with private industry, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory experimented with sUAS swarming that allows our team to rapidly expand and self-heal our communications network autonomously. There is still a lot of hard work needed in this field and we’re excited to lead the way. As always be unreasonable, be a good teammate and be relentless! Meet Joshua Bloom, Cross Domain Autonomy (XDA) Senior Engineer at EpiSci. Joshua brings a wealth of experience to the team from his roles as an Autonomy Research Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Electrical Engineer at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). His strong academic background is equally as impressive, with a B.E. in electrical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and Masters in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he is currently a Swarm Robotics PhD Candidate. Why is EpiSci for Joshua? “Because they offered the opportunity to quickly develop and test multi-agent collaborative autonomy in the real world on representative platforms in multiple domains. I love the culture and the work ethic. Everything EpiSci has accomplished builds on the shoulders of its people and is a direct result of work ethic and culture. I [also] love that I get to develop autonomy for the Navy and then present it to actual operators. This gives me vital feedback so that I can continue to improve our algorithms. It also provides the opportunity to develop a relationship with the people who will one day yield our system, in the hope that I can train them to understand what the system is thinking and what it will do next. Since joining EpiSci, I have become a much better Software Engineer, and continue to develop. I have also developed substantially as a relationship builder and project manager. I have learned to deal with high stress in a productive and engaging way leading to rapid behavior development, sometimes demoing the behavior in less than a week.” Joshua is a valued member of EpiSci and we are proud to have experts like him work towards a shared mission of delivering trusted autonomy for a secure future. #CrossDomainAutonomy #SeniorEngineer #DefenseTech
