The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization leading the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California is dedicated to providing information, resources and support to the over 140,000 Northern Californians living with epilepsy. Our goal is to ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences, to improve how the community views epilepsy, and to dispel myths about this condition by providing information through statewide training, events, and programs. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California serves 44 counties from the Oregon border down to Fresno County.

Today is a monumental day for the epilepsy community! The National Plan for Epilepsy was reintroduced on Capitol Hill with bipartisan support from the Epilepsy Caucus Congressional and Senate Co-Chairs: Senator Schmitt of Missouri , Senator Klobuchar of Minnesota, Congressman Costa of California’s 21st District and Congressman Murphy of North Carolina’s 3rd District. This plan is critical for improving epilepsy care, advancing research, and ensuring health equity for the 3.4 million people living with epilepsy in the U.S. While we celebrate this important step forward, we know there is still much work to be done. Real change happens when we come together and raise our voices. This is where you can make a difference. We need grassroots advocates to help move this plan through Congress by: ?? Contacting your representatives ?? Sharing your story ??
