While it might feel overwhelming at first, understanding epilepsy in our pets can help ensure they live happy, healthy lives. Your pet's epilepsy can be managed with proper veterinary care. If your pet has seizures, a vet can help identify the cause and recommend treatments to improve their quality of life!

Member organization Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana is teaming up with LSU Athletics, Angels of Epilepsy Foundation, Our Lady of the Lake, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health, and The NeuroMedical Center to provide essential seizure first aid training and life-saving safety skills. This free training will be led by Our Lady of the Lake pediatric neurologist Dr. Yash D. Shah, and will feature special guests Louisiana State University wide receiver and epilepsy advocate CJ Daniels, along with his inspiring mom, Natalie Y. Epilepsy Alliance America is proud to be a sponsor of the 8th PAME Conference. Registration is now open for the 8th Partners Against Epilepsy Mortality (PAME) Conference, taking place Dec. 4-5 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Los Angeles, California. This event brings together healthcare providers, clinical researchers, basic scientists, public health officials, patient advocates, caregivers, bereaved families, and adults living with epilepsy to discuss Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Epilepsy Alliance America board member and CEO of member organization Epilepsy New Jersey will be presenting on a panel discussing Mortality Prevention Legislation. This conference aims to raise awareness and foster connections within the epilepsy community and families affected by SUDEP are encouraged to submit a photo for the virtual memory wall to honor their loved ones. https://lnkd.in/eBbYDyuU
