This year, our collective had the honor of designing and fabricating the awards for the American Advertising Federation’s GALAAA, and let’s just say… we went ALL IN. Inspired by the energy of the venue, Electric City, and the vision of the incredible team behind this year’s event, we crafted something as bold and dynamic as the night itself. From concept to creation, every detail was designed to reflect the innovation and passion of the advertising industry’s best. What happens when you blend arcade nostalgia with creative brand storytelling? A one-of-a-kind experience—and a trophy like no other. ?? The Challenge: DISHIN? hosted a bubble hockey tournament sponsored by Super Chexx creator Innovative Concepts In Entertainment, Inc. that brought in players from around the world. For this, they needed a trophy that would elevate the tournament stakes, honor the roots of ICE's iconic Super Chexx game, and highlight each brand to celebrate creativity and cultural impact. ? The Solution: Turning to the game itself for inspiration and scaling ICE’s iconic bubble hockey player 5x through CAD modeling and 3D printing. The figure was hand-painted, branded with Just Dishin graphics, and mounted on a sleek 8-inch base showcasing ICE branding. The result? A visually striking, 16-inch trophy that became the centerpiece of the tournament. ?? The Experience: The trophy did more than sit on a pedestal. It became a photo-worthy showstopper, driving user-generated content, amplified the sense of competition, pride, and achievement among players, and symbolized the partnership between ICE’s arcade gaming legacy and Just Dishin’s modern creative flair. This project is proof that creative design with innovative builds can turn events into unforgettable brand moments. ??
