关于我们
What's Good for Children is Good for Business. Executives Partnering to Invest in Children, EPIC, is a collaboration of business leaders, nonprofits and foundations promoting early childhood care, education, health and parenting as the highest priority of public and private investment in Colorado. We are the business community's advocate for early childhood investment in the workplace and in our communities. Colorado business leaders, in partnership with nonprofit organizations and foundation, have a unique opportunity to band together to develop and implement a strategy to prepare tomorrow's workforce. The sooner children start on the right path, the greater the return to them and to society. The benefits build, one on top of the other. Through the work of EPIC we: 1) Educate the business sector on the importance of early childhood development and the implementation of Colorado's current programs for early childhood education, wellness, and care for children birth to age eight. 2) Equip the business sector with tactical approaches to increase the level of child and family support they provide to their employees and with corporate giving strategies to advance their investments in the early childhood sector. 3) Engage business leaders to be early childhood advocates and champions of the economic and societal benefits of investing in very young children. 4) Energize business leaders to lead a campaign to reform the allocation of and amplify Colorado's public and private resources to make the investment in very young children the highest priority at all levels of government. EPIC is the business community's advocate for early childhood investment in the workplace and in the political sphere. We support pre-kindergarten, full-day kindergarten and affordable, quality child care for all Colorado children. We promote family-centric worksite wellness practices for all Colorado employees.

EPIC, Executives Partnering to Invest in Children partnered with the Common Sense Institute Colorado to contribute to a report examining the impact of expanding access to child care for Colorado families. The report revealed that 51% of Coloradans live in child care deserts, with a shortage of 88,500 child care slots for children under age 6. Thank you to FOX31 KDVR / Channel 2 KWGN for spotlighting how these challenges sideline workers and affect the economy.

Lodging tax measures aimed at making child care more affordable and accessible were approved in Colorado's La Plata, Grand and Montrose counties. These communities join a growing list of mountain resort regions across the state taking action. Redirecting lodging tax revenue can help secure grants, fund the construction of child care facilities, and boost wages for infant and early care providers.
