One of our Business/Entrepreneurship students, Faustina (pictured center in white sweater), is interning with the LITTLETON BUSINESS CHAMBER INC and, as such, is participating in really amazing opportunities, learning a ton from influential leaders from all over the City of Littleton, and networking and making connections for her future. Here she is touring the new Cardiac Tower at AdventHealth Colorado located in Littleton. Thanks to Troy Stockman, MHA-L, CMPE CEO of South Denver Cardiology Associates and Ashley Nordberg, CFRE of AdventHealth Foundation Rocky Mountain for inviting a stellar group of VIPS to see the building while still under construction. The high level of care and medical attention provided combined with the latest technologies will surely make this new hospital tower the best in the region. Good to see so many of our partners there! Heath Kinsland of Redstone Bank, Jim Becklenberg and his team from the City of Littleton, Kyle Schlachter - Mayor, Rachel King, Mike Gent, Jamie Crout. And the amazing team from SDCA Karyl Vanbenthuysen, Shari Nieman Corso, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC. EPIC Campus was represented by Beth Best.

Inviting parents was the secret sauce for EPIC Campus’ Construction & Design Career Information Night. Doors opened and welcomed LPS 9th - 12th grade students and their parents to learn about all the amazing career opportunities that stem from taking classes in the Construction Trades Pathway at EPIC Campus. Parents were blown away by the opportunities available for their high schooler, whether they want to go directly into work, attend college or a trade school, or join the military. Opportunity abounds and students were excited too! Excitement and curiosity were the main feelings and lively discussion could be heard about future plans and dreams. It was electric! Connections were made, career paths discovered, earning potential was realized, and interest was solidified in the dynamic world of construction and design. A very special thanks to Jeff Barratt Executive Director of the Associated General Contractors of Colorado for being the guest speaker and sharing his vision for the industry and his support for the work being done at EPIC Campus. Many heartfelt thank yous to all our dedicated Industry Partners who stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this meaningful work. We couldn’t do it without all of you and you’re welcome on our campus and in our classrooms anytime! We also want to give a shout out to our amazing Construction and Design instructors, Marc Finer Erik Petersen, and Jeff Steffen for doing the work everyday that inspires, motivates, teaches, and mentors students to be #EPIC in their work product, work ethic, and work culture every. single. day. Preparing students for the world of work is what EPIC Campus is all about and boy did we go big this week! Many heartfelt thanks to Andrea Janzen and Morgan Trujillo for asking some of our #ConstructionTrades female students to help represent NAWIC - Metro Denver Chapter #112 at the Procore Technologies Groundbreak conference in Denver this week. Our students demonstrated #professionalism by engaging with attendees and vendors by #networking and #learning about the industry and how #women are leading the way. As #EmergingLeaders themselves, they experienced what amazing careers are available to them. Chaperoned by Marc Finer and Beth Best, our students, were in fact, #EPIC!

We had the honor of hosting the Lift Up Littleton Longer Tables event where 100 community members gathered to share a meal, connect, and lift one another up. It was an evening where we all shared stories of our childhood and life without the focus on work. It was inspiring and heartwarming. Thank you to the organizers for selecting our campus to host the first one in Littleton!
