Ephrata Public Interest Committee

The Ephrata Public Interest Committee, or EPIC for short, is a political organization that focuses on recruiting younger candidates to run for local office. By reaching out to the community and ensuring that the people are well informed, we seek to engage with youth voters and get younger citizens involved in the community and local politics. Young people vote at significantly lower rates than other age groups, and the EPIC aims to turnout these voters and recruit younger candidates for office. The youth are the future of this nation, and a strong sense of civil service begins at the local level. The intersection of youth voters and local politics is the core of our organization. Our services include: helping potential candidates figure out how to run for office, advising candidates on how to manage an effective campaign, endorsing affiliated candidates and including them on our official media, providing campaign funds for affiliated candidates, hosting get out the vote drives and campaign events.
