Today marked a big day in Enzinc history: we celebrated the opening of our new 10,000-square-foot Manufacturing Technology Center in Oakland, CA, at an event where we welcomed officials, investors, customers, industry colleagues, team members’ families, and others. This facility will enable us to meet growing customer demand for advanced, fireproof zinc batteries, revolutionizing energy storage for mobility and stationary applications. With support from the California Energy Commission and our investors, led by American Century Investments, we are scaling up production of our innovative zinc anodes to empower a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable future. We’re doing it in a facility that’s fast becoming a hub of clean tech manufacturing in City of Oakland, American Steel. Special thanks to our distinguished guests at the opening ceremony, including David Hochschild, chair of the California Energy Commission and Julie Caskey, the?Director of Climate Partnerships in the Office of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, Rebecca Lee from New Energy Nexus, and others. Guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at our technology and new facility. It’s hard to believe this space was built out in a matter of months--massive furnaces and all--and is now home to our team of creative engineers who are refining and ramping up our manufacturing.
