This October, I had the great opportunity to participate in Fair Chance employment convenings around the country, hosted by leaders including Corporate Coalition of Chicago, Valley of the Sun United Way, Arouet, and National Reentry Workforce Collaborative (NRWC). It was a nice chance to reflect on the state of the field, and I shared a few broad takeaways on our Insights page this morning, centering on narrative, background screening reform, and technology: https://lnkd.in/erNawYsn Thanks Jason Whyte, MBA, Brian Fabes, Stephanie Dolan, Sara Wasserteil Alison Rapping, Laura Kaiser, Bertha T., Vannessa Moreno, Jeffrey Korzenik, Ken O., Kimberly Crowe for your organizing and leadership!

Curious how local governments can drive Fair Chance employment in their communities? Envoy's Matt Joyce recently published a piece with the National Association of Counties outlining five key ways County governments can leverage and encourage Fair Chance practices!
This summer, we are collaborating with the National Association of Counties to encourage county governments to lead Fair Chance ecosystems in their communities. I'm excited to share a piece I wrote for NACo's County News on the opportunities for county governments to bring Fair Chance practices to their 3.6 million member workforce, while leveraging their reentry and workforce programming and encouraging the private sector to follow suit. Thanks Ashleigh Holand, Nastassia Walsh, Carlos Greene for your partnership. We look forward to sharing this work at NACo's annual conference this month.
