Did you know that in 2020 Enviva and The Longleaf Alliance announced the signing of a five-year partnership to protect and restore longleaf pine forests, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in North America? #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth is a time to honor and share the rich cultures and histories of Hispanic Americans.? This year’s theme is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.” The observation began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968, led by two Hispanic politicians, Edward R. Roybal and Henry B. Gonzales, under President Lyndon B. Johnson’s administration. In 1988, the observance expanded to cover a 30-day annual period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. This month and beyond, we recognize Hispanics who have inspired and paved the way for past, present, and future generations and their importance to the American story. We invite you to join us in celebrating Enviva’s own Hispanic pioneers who continue to positively impact our communities, forests, and the climate while bringing their valuable talents and perspectives to Enviva every day.?
