It's been another big day for #transmission in the US, led by two announcements from U.S. Department of Energy (DOE): 1) National Transmission Planning Study released, with some strong evidence about build-out and cost-saving potential nation-wide; and 2) four more awards under the second round of the Transmission Facilitation Program (TFP), including a major capacity commitment (up to $425m) for the Aroostook Renewable Project in Maine to deliver wind and solar from northern Maine.
