Kudos to EI’s Joe Grange for his recent publication in PLOS ONE! In the article, Joe and his co-authors dive into the crucial issue of data quality and biases in childhood nutrition indicators. By simulating and analyzing distributions similar to those collected in low-resource settings, the authors developed an original method to aid researchers to understand how vulnerable their data are to an important and all-too-common source of bias. Spotting these biases will in turn enable stakeholders from affected community members to policymakers make more informed decisions and improve resource allocation. ??
