#ManufacturerMonday Last summer, Heron Innovators, Inc. placed its Suspended Air? Flotation (SAF?) Pilot Trailer at Ten Mile Creek Regional Wastewater System for Solids Thickening and Clarification. Heron Innovators Suspended Air? Flotation (SAF?) process systems thicken two basic types of biological solids, aerobic and anaerobic.?These solids are commonly referred to as waste activated sludge (WAS) and digested solids. SAF? may be used in place of a rotary drum or gravity belt thickener and offers many advantages, including greater percent solids and significantly less chemical demand.
