Please send your resume to: [email protected] About The Role: The Environmental Center of San Diego is seeking an Eco Coordinator to help reduce the workload of our Executive Director by 10+ hours per week through improved operations, attending meetings, and enhancing educational materials. You are a good fit if you: Are passionate about environmental conservation in San Diego. Are able to digest information from a variety of sources and distill it down into a simple explainer document.? Are interested in advocacy and can attend in-person and zoom meetings on behalf of our? organization. Can communicate clearly with teammates through various methods. We will provide you with clear examples of what we are looking for, support research, and scope of projects. You’ll document projects, represent us in meetings, and update educational materials. This role will be part-time (~10-15 hrs per week). COMPENSATION: $28-32 per hour based on experience + a stipend for health insurance or retirement contribution.? TASKS YOU'LL BE PERFORMING: Project Documentation: Learn about local projects and create briefs on each project assigned. Advocacy: Represent our organization in meetings, take notes, and report back to the Executive Director. Educational Materials Update: Assist with updating educational materials like webpages, emails, or pamphlets. Meeting Coordination: Help coordinate coalition meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and report results. Coalition Coordination: Work with other coalition organizations to address pressing issues. Electronic Correspondence: Prepare electronic correspondence for critical issues. Webpage Updates: Update coalition web pages. REQUIRED SKILLS: To qualify for this job you must possess the following skills: Project Documentation Experience: Experience in writing briefs, standard operating procedures, and similar documents. Communication Skills: Clear communication through live calls, in-person meetings, written communication, and screen recordings. Bonus: Experience with environmental conservation or nonprofit work is a plus.
