???? Positive Offboarding: Is it possible to say goodbye to employees well? ? Yes! We know there is. Ok ... so it clearly isn't always the case ... but if you have to make employees redundant, why not work very hard to try and extend as much meaningful ongoing support and community via a digital alumni network to people as they are leaving? ?? Give your corporate alumni access to the learning and development you offered them whilst at work .... through an alumni network. CV guidance, access to perks and discounts and a sense of community can also be one way, at a difficult time, to provide meaningful value add to people job hunting. Former colleagues, for example, can be source of introductions to new roles and having a way to search our directory to see which former employees work at companies you're prospecting or interviewing at can be invaluable. ?? 2024 has seen a high level of redundancies with the potential for more in Q1 2025. Even the typically unstoppable world of tech has seen huge waves of reductions in employee numbers. In August, Intel Corporation sent shockwaves through the market by announcing a 15% reduction in its global workforce—roughly 15,000 jobs. Just days later, Cisco announced plans to lay off 7% of its employees, marking its second round of job cuts this year as the company shifts focus to rapidly growing areas like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Northwell?Center for Emergency Medical Services (CEMS)?was honored with the EMS Agency of the Year Award at the annual New York State EMS Conference in Rochester. The largest hospital-based ambulance service in the New York metropolitan area, CEMS is also one of the largest in the United States.
