I attended a networking event yesterday afternoon held at the BNI (Business Network International) HQ location here in Charlotte, NC. It was a great opportunity to meet and hear from their new CEO, Mary Thompson - CFE, as well as their original founder Dr. Ivan Misner. Ivan is known as the "Founder of Modern Networking" so I had to take advantage of the photo op! Happy Halloween! We had a new team member join us for the month of October. He's a bit of an introvert, but has been really flexible in his assignments and doesn't complain. We like that. He's greeted visitors and even made some Zoom meeting appearances. Some of our team members haven't warmed up to his rather creepy bare bones approach though, so today's his last day...until next year!

Nice little client event in Charlotte last week and a big thanks to Dimensional Fund Advisors, Horizon Investments?, and the Ensemble Financial Strategies team for hosting. There was some great messaging as the election sneaks up on us - don't hesitate to ask questions!

Last Thursday, we organized a WealthPort Trading Workshop for Ensemble Financial Strategies and Enterprise Financial Network advisors. This was an all-day, hands-on training event to help our advisors save time, stay compliant, and ensure they're as efficient as possible when managing accounts on the platform. It was an information packed day, so we decided to wrap up with a proper Happy Hour to avoid a mutiny. A special shout out and thank you to our partners at Horizon Investments? who helped host the event, as well as Austin Martin, Sr. Director with the Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. Trade Team. I'm not aware of many broker-dealers who encourage their Trade Desk leadership to travel for proactive training - what a great idea!

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Ensemble & Friends Ugly Sweater Happy Hour last night. It was great to get most of our advisor team together along with some old colleagues at Vintner Wine Market in the Charlotte Arboretum.
