The Chicago Ukulele Band, featured on WBEZ’s Reset with Sasha-Ann Simons, began as a small in-store music club at Hix Brothers Music in Geneva, IL. Once a chain of retail stores, Hix Brothers is now a dedicated music lesson school known for its fun, modern approach—while staying serious about teaching students to become great musicians. This story is a testament to how music schools and stores can play a pivotal role in fostering connection, engagement, and lifelong learning.
