?? Tragically, the Heacock family is mourning the loss of their son, Eli, who fell victim to sextortion—a growing threat targeting our youth. This crime has led to dozens of deaths by suicide in the last year alone. Children and teens are being threatened by others and coerced into sending explicit images online. Families must educate their children and teens about this scam and let them know that it's okay for them to come to you immediately -- without fear of immediate punishment or judgement-- if they have posted something they shouldn't have. #Sextortion education is key to preventing families from experiencing similar pain. Let’s stand together to protect our children from online predators and get bills like the Kids Online Safety Act passed (#KOSA) and the #TakeItDown Act so these senseless tragedies like Eli's come to an end. Our hearts go out to Eli's family and all who have been impacted by this crime.

"Real accountability, justice, and protection are finally within reach for deepfake victims!"This past week, @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and Senate leaders took a powerful stand for online safety—sending a clear message that protecting children from online exploitation is a top priority! The momentum around this bipartisan legislation is palpable -- and more importantly-- critical to keeping children safer online, as it aids victims of deepfake pornography by removing and prosecuting the publication of this content. A deepfake is a synthetic media technique that uses artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning, to manipulate or generate video, audio, or images that convincingly depict real people saying or doing things they never actually did. Enough Is Enough is grateful that this issue has been a priority from the start of the Administration, directly aligning with EIE's Children's Internet Safety Presidential Pledge—backed by over 60 organizations and survivor leaders—urging the aggressive enforcement, funding, and expansion of laws against CSAM, trafficking, sextortion, and AI-generated abuse. EIE thanks all TAKE IT DOWN sponsors, cosponsors, President Trump and the First Lady for their commitment to a safer internet for children and families and for hearing our collective voices! #TAKE IT DOWN!" https://buff.ly/NCoSqwt

Such destructive and devastating abusive material must be removed and those responsible, including Big Tech, held accountable.
