A semester of transformation: Enlace Academy’s journey to excellence is just beginning! ?? I’m proud to share the remarkable progress at Enlace Academy during their first year of implementing the NextGeneration School Improvement Grant. These results demonstrate the power of collaboration, commitment, and innovation in education. This semester, Enlace achieved: ? 16% growth in math proficiency (compared to +3% last year) ? 23% growth in ELA proficiency (compared to +8% last year) ? Over 80% of K-4 students met foundational literacy growth goals ? Over 234 hours of family academic engagement opportunities ? 94.6% attendance rate These outcomes reflect the incredible efforts of Enlace’s staff, students, and families, as well as the school’s dedication to improving student success through intentional and data-driven strategies. Chalkbeat is made of 8 local bureaus (like ours) and a national team, and the power of being a network is that we can team up to write national stories that include local reporting from local journalists. I'm so proud that Chalkbeat Indiana journalists helped show what it was like to teach about the election before the election AND what it was like in schools the day after the election. I'm proud because Aleks and Amelia told powerful stories, and it's fun to be included in group projects.
