This will be an interesting conversation. BURN is doing something unique in engineering for sustainable development, and they’re doing it very well. There are lots of great startups and established companies manufacturing clean-burning cookstoves, but BURN put in the work and figured out how to manufacture locally in Kenya. They built a factory and hired and trained technically skilled personnel to manufacture their clean cooking products. All in-house designs, all optimized for the fuels they use and for the markets they serve. BURN has delivered 4.5 million cookstoves, making it the largest cookstove manufacturer in Africa and a leading cookstove company globally. Now BURN sells clean cooking carbon credits by leveraging their clean tech. The company manages the process from the design of the stove to the sale of the credits, making it the only fully integrated clean cookstove carbon developer in the world. BURN’s path since 2014 has been a master class in local, sustainable manufacturing, and their CEO Peter Scott will share lessons from the experience in this upcoming webinar. Register for it!
