After the work is done, the green beast needs to go back into it’s doghouse. We just shipped this inspection system for stainless steel strip. It uses a KEYENCE CORPORATION line scan camera system and lights to detect defects in the sheet at a high rate of speed. Since we are in a nasty mill environment, the cameras and lights are installed in a custom box with a removable lens and side access panels. The doghouse is for storage when not in use to keep things extra safe.

A couple more inspection stations in the works. Many customers are coming to us for vision systems to be integrated into their existing manufacturing or packaging lines. These systems confirm part quality, label characteristics, or many other details. The systems below will check that all parts are completely in the carton before entering the carton closing operation. If the carton is not correct, then the closing machine blows up and causes downtime. We all know what that means! #visioninspection #keyence #customautomation

The bottle inspection system is ready to go!! This will be installed over the customer’s existing conveyor to inspect both sides of the spray bottle. It will be confirming details of the label and the current date code that is entered daily on the integrated PC. The reject paddle will gently nudge the bad ones off the line. Our next vision inspection system design is complete and moving through manufacturing. Keyence VS cameras are inspecting both sides of a spray bottle: label confirmation & QR code confirmation. This system includes a reject mechanism and will be mounted over the customer's existing conveyor. This is for Nehemiah Manufacturing Company in Cincinnati.
