关于我们
EngenderHealth envisions a gender-equal world where all people achieve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. We know that sexual and reproductive health and rights are completely and inextricably intertwined with gender equality. We also know that marginalized groups—such as girls, women, and gender minorities; adolescents and youth; people with disabilities; economically disadvantaged groups; and rural and other hard-to-reach populations—are particularly vulnerable to discriminatory practices that can prevent them from leading healthy lives. But that can change. We believe that if all people are empowered and engaged; and if they live in supportive communities where systems and institutions provide high-quality, gender-equitable sexual and reproductive healthcare; and if policies, laws, and process are supportive, then they will exercise their rights to gender-equitable sexual and reproductive health services and participate as equal members of society.

These are such inspiring stories for #DayOfTheGirl. They're powerful reminders that incredible things can happen when we invest in girls and create opportunities for them to thrive. By giving girls the chance to hope, dream, and take action, we're unlocking transformative change—not just for individual girls but for entire communities.
Every day, girls are taking action around the world to realize a brighter future. This #DayOfTheGirl, let the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) show you what happens when we give girls the chance to hope: unf.pa/6yw #GlobalGoals

At EngenderHealth, we maximize our impact through strategic collaborations with government partners, youth- and women-led organizations, and civil society groups. We enhance service quality, outreach, and sustainability by leveraging existing resources. We're improving service quality and community outreach while standing firm for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and standing against gender-based violence (GBV). Through our partnership with the Ethiopian Women Lawyers association (EWLA), we train law enforcement and provide free legal services to GBV survivors, ensuring their safety and support. We also collaborate with YETENA WEG | ??? ?? regarding a social media platform created by young healthcare professionals to run a digital awareness campaign on SRHR that targets youth and healthcare providers. Through the Keneya Nieta project in Mali, EngenderHealth is strengthening the capacity of individuals, households, and communities to manage their healthcare planning, financing, and management. We are proud to share that this initiative has reached over 34,000 youth and worked with 6,987 community leaders—including parents, youth, women’s group leaders, teachers, and religious leaders. These sessions are crucial in monitoring community health platform performance, promoting accountability, and fostering joint decision-making with the community. By addressing and reducing barriers to healthcare, particularly the stigma surrounding sexual and reproductive health and rights for adolescents and youth, we are paving the way for healthier futures. At EngenderHealth, we recognize the historical and social disadvantages that hinder women, young people, and marginalized groups from receiving equitable treatment and reaching their full potential in sexual and reproductive health and rights. To address these disparities, we embed Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion (GYSI) principles across our health systems strengthening activities. Our approach focuses on two key areas: ?Systematically examining how multiple axes of inequality affect health access and outcomes based on individual identities. ?Designing and implementing tailored strategies that address the unique needs and interests of women, girls, men, boys, and gender-diverse individuals. ??
