Our student #AssessmentTeam has been busy! This time learning about #PlasticInjectionMolding and collaborating with the client to identify #energysaving measures. What a great way to bring #studentengineers out of the classroom and into the #field and #realworld through an Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy | U.S. Department of Energy program!
The UIC Industrial Training and Assessment Center completed another #EnergyAssessment today for Plastipak, located in Alsip, Illinois, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable #packaging and #recycling solutions. Our host and partner, JJ Nuesmeyer, highlighted the #manufacturing process of #PlasticContainers for various sectors. The team observed a number of #BestPractices and also identified potential #energysaving opportunities to consider.
