We were thrilled to have welcomed CITGO Innovation Academy students to our museum for National STEM Day! It was a wonderful experience connecting with these bright young minds as they explored all that the museum has to offer. The students enjoyed discovering the wonders of the Star Ocean exhibit, sparking their curiosity and passion for STEM! Partnering with educators and administrators from Las Cruces Public Schools, this event will connect over 3,000 middle school, high school, and college students to career opportunities within New Mexico's vibrant energy sector. Held all day at the New Mexico State University campus, the Expo offers a unique opportunity for students to interact directly with energy businesses, industries, and educational partners as they explore career paths in one of New Mexico’s fastest-growing employment sectors. Kathleen Gardner, a Career Readiness and Work-Based Learning Teacher with LCPS, shared, “The Expo is a firsthand opportunity for students to explore careers in a rapidly growing employment sector. We are thrilled to see all the educators and students coming together to shape the future of energy in New Mexico.
