We're thrilled to kick-off the OBSERVE EU project, organised by our coordinator, the Institute for European Energy and Climate Policy Foundation (IEECP) ???? ???? OBSERVE, for the systematic collection and aggregation of building-related data. ???? Here's a glimpse of today's agenda: ?? Overview of the project by the IEECP ?? Presentation of the EU Building Stock Observatory (EU BSO) by Andreas Hermelink, Member of the Advisory Board ?? Exchanges about consistency and synergies with the EU BSO, by Sylvain Robert, our Project Officer. ?? Presentation of our 10 partners and Work Packages, objectives and milestones. Highlights of the day: ? The main objective of the EU BSO is to provide transparent and reliable information and data on the EU’s building stock. ? The importance of high-quality, standardized building stock data for achieving climate and energy goals has been underlined. ? OBSERVE methodologies support Member States to define their data needs and data collection, and create synergies with the EU BSO, towards their alignment and compliance with EU directives and regulations. ???? Zavr?eni projekti - rekonstrukcija poslovne zgrade Energy Institute Hrvoje Po?ar gdje smo bili glavni izvo?a? i izvo?a? gra?evinsko-obrtni?kih radova te zajedno s EIHP primjenili novi standard gradnje - nZEB (engl. “nearly zero-energy building”). Vrata Nacionalnog trening centra za zgrade gotovo nulte energije (#nZEB) slu?beno su otvorena u studenom, ?ime je obilje?en po?etak jednog od zna?ajnijih poglavlja #EIHP-a u podru?ju energetske u?inkovitosti i pomaka prema pametnim tehnologijama u graditeljstvu. ?Poslovna zgrada EIHP-a u standardu je gotovo nulte energije i pripremljena za pametne tehnologije; ?Pove?ana je tr?i?na vrijednost i ?ivotni vijek zgrade stare 50 godina; ?Proizvodnja energije na lokaciji zgrade - FN elektrana na krovu zgrade instalirane snage 50 kW osigurat ?e 30 posto potrebne energije za grijanje, hla?enje i rasvjetu; ?Sustav upravljanja energijom i rasvjetom prema okupiranosti prostora i unutarnjoj ugodnosti: temperatura, koncentracija CO2, vlaga; ?LED rasvjeta s intenzitetom prema dnevnom osvjetljenju. ??Meet Project Partner Energy Institute Hrvoje Po?ar! ??Energy Institute Hrvoje Po?ar (#EIHP) is a state-owned institution whose main activities include implementing scientific research in the energy sector and providing professional support and advisory services to public authorities and stakeholders in Croatia and internationally. Although state-owned, EIHP is not financed from the state budget but on the basis of concluded contracts for project implementation. ??Participation of EIHP in the #SuPeRBE project adds to the existing portfolio of EU-funded projects that EIHP has been working on, especially projects related to climate change adaptation. EIHP's motivation for participating in SuPeRBE is as follows: ?Exchange of knowledge and upgrade of our existing methodologies for calculating climate risk and vulnerability related to hazards caused by climate change ?Contribution to the development of the Digital ToolKit for supporting public authorities in developing climate adaptation measures ?Improvement of capacity building in the pilot area (Municipality of ?ibenik) in the whole cycle of adaptation measures development, from the diagnosis of the current state up to the evaluation of results achieved ?As communication managers of the SuPeRBE project, EIHP will work on regular communication and dissemination of news and materials through the SuPeRBE website and LinkedIn profile. The aim of communication is to reach as wide a professional public as possible, including urban planners, architects, climate planners, municipal, regional, and national authorities, and other relevant stakeholders from all over the world. At the second international workshop of the #Danube #Interreg REHEATEAST project, which took place on October 15 and 16, 2024, in Moravske Toplice, the #EIHP team presented as a task leader #DHC Cooperation and Optimisation Models, focusing on their integration with pilot actions. ?? These models aim to create a practical "blueprint" tailored to the specific needs of each pilot, addressing local conditions and opportunities. A top-down approach is critical to achieving this goal, ensuring models are customised for real-world application. In addition, EIHP led the discussion at the World Café table on "Stakeholder-inclusive DHC innovations".????? Other engaging topics explored during the session included: ?? Optimising DH systems with #RES, heat storage, and digitalisation, ?? Neighbourhood-level deep retrofits of multi-apartment buildings, and ?? Non-fossil DHC optimisation options. On the second day, the focus shifted to in-depth discussions about pilot action plans, a key project component. ?? U Rovinju je pro?li tjedan odr?ana zavr?na konferencija Programa ?Energija i klimatske promjene“, u organizaciji Upravitelja Programa, Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, uz podr?ku Programskog partnera #EIHP-a te Donatorskog programskog partnera Norve?ke uprave za vodne resurse i energiju, odnosno financijsku potporu dr?ava donatora Islanda, Lihten?tajna i Kraljevine Norve?ke kroz Financijski mehanizam Europskog gospodarskog prostora (EGP) - EEA and Norway Grants. ?? Program je imao bud?et od 20 milijuna eura, od ?ega su 17 milijuna eura osigurale donatorske zemlje, dok je #RH pridonijela s 3 milijuna eura, a tijekom provedbe Programa realizirani su brojni projekti: ?172 solarne elektrane ?1 baterijski spremnik za skladi?tenje elektri?ne energije ?3 sustava dizalica topline na energiju mora ?3 bu?otinska prostora za kori?tenje geotermalne energije ?10 budu?ih geotermalnih bu?otina sa spremnom istra?no – tehni?kom dokumentacijom ?2 baze podataka s izra?enim interaktivnim GIS kartama za duboku i plitku geotermalnu energiju ?uspostavljen Nacionalni trening centar za zgrade gotovo nulte energije #nZEB ?? ??Konferencija je istaknula klju?nu ulogu me?unarodne suradnje i inovativnih tehnologija u energetskoj tranziciji te najavila nastavak ulaganja u projekte koji ?e osigurati bolju i zeleniju budu?nost Hrvatske i Europe!?? ??On 4.-7.11.2024, the beautiful city of Cavtat has been the setting for the #16th #HRO #CIGRE #Symposium on #Power #System #Management. With over 900 participants, more than 350 paper authors, and 25 exhibitors, it was the largest power system management symposium in the region ever. ??#EIHP experts participated very actively, being co-authors on 14 papers, convening Round Table on the Grid connection at the Women in Energy Section, and convening paper sessions, while Dra?en Jak?i?, Director of the Energy Institute Hrvoje Po?ar, began with an insightful presentation on integrating renewable energy sources, underscoring the opportunities and challenges this presents for the power grid on KON?AR Group compelling sponsored segment. ??In addition, Goran Majstrovic served as President of the Symposium Organizing Committee and Deputy President of the Croatian CIGRE Committee. ? ??EIHP is proud and thankful to all its experts, who brought fresh perspectives and inspiring ideas to the table, elevating the experience for everyone involved in this key industry gathering.
