From November, Panasonic will integrate Tado’s Balance smart thermostats and the Heat Pump Optimizer X into its Aquarea air-to-water heat pumps for commercial and multi-dwelling residential applications. ?? Tado's smart technology adjusts heat pump settings to make the most of renewable energy, helping users save on energy costs and lower their carbon footprint. Honeywell Process Solutions (Honeywell Industrial Automation) is partnering with portfolio company Titan Advanced Energy Solutions to integrate Titan’s ultrasound-based battery scanning technology into Honeywell’s Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform (MXP). A move that will provide comprehensive end-to-end monitoring, supporting cost-effective, high-quality battery production. Titan's advanced technology allows for real-time, in-line analysis of battery quality, identifying defects that traditional methods might miss. ?? The integration of Titan’s technology into Honeywell’s MXP offers visibility into the manufacturing process, enabling battery manufacturers to trace defects faster and improve overall efficiency. This is especially beneficial for early-stage gigafactories that are scaling up to meet the increasing demand for EV batteries. Rather than a break-fix approach, it enables enterprises to proactively assess and efficiently manage their energy-intensive assets. Our early-stage VC fund EIC Rose Rock recently invested in the Series A funding round for CruxOCM. So it's great to see more good news for the award-winning company, which is aiming to revolutionize the energy industry through the use of co-pilot technology for control room operators. It's just been announced that Delek US Holdings, Inc., a prominent player in the energy industry, has chosen CruxOCM for their control center operations automation. They'll be co-commercializing CruxOCM's gatherBOT? product, which alleviates control room operator fatigue by automating certain tasks and providing real-time insights. Chris Clarkin, Senior Director, Engineering at Delek, said of the partnership: "We're looking forward to the innovation Crux will bring to our gathering system operations. Based on the business cases we've outlined together; we expect significant operational improvements once gatherBOT is deployed." In the article, Aurora CEO Andrew Gillis explains the company's innovative approach to producing zero-carbon hydrogen from methane pyrolysis. By superheating the molecule with microwaves rather than relying on electrolysis of water, the process can use 80% less energy. Importantly, it's not only the tech which makes a difference, but how it fits into existing infrastructure. "Our proposition here, because of our use of natural gas and low electricity demand, is that we can use existing infrastructure to produce clean hydrogen," explains Gillis.
