Financing our energy independent future with homegrown Hoosier solutions
关于我们
The Indiana Energy Independence Fund, will help Hoosiers make responsible financial decisions that make their homes more comfortable, buildings less wasteful, and bank accounts grow by lowering energy bills. Our vision is to build a community-focused initiative that offers a range of financial products and services that allows Hoosiers to take control of their energy costs and move toward energy independence. We are dedicated to creating an institution that helps people put their energy into things that matter instead of their utility bills.

??Hello Hoosiers, it's National Battery Day! (Who knew?)?? Battery storage systems are transforming energy use across homes, businesses, and utilities by storing excess energy for later use. These systems help optimize energy consumption, enhance resilience, and lower costs—making them a smart investment for a variety of sectors. Whether you're a homeowner, business owner, or part of a utility, battery storage can help you: ? Reduce reliance on the grid during peak times or outages. ? Save on energy costs by using power stored during off-peak hours. ? Increase energy security with backup power during blackouts. Modern battery storage solutions are becoming more affordable, efficient, and equipped with smart features to maximize energy savings. Plus, with incentives and green bank financing, energy storage is more accessible than ever. Find out more about battery storage and other eligible energy improvements at https://lnkd.in/g-dzkAHP.

Hello, Hoosiers! ???? It's cold out there! Now's the perfect time to ensure your home is as energy-efficient as possible throughout the winter! Here are a few simple tips to help you stay warm while saving on your energy bills: 1. Seal the Gaps: Check windows, doors, and vents for drafts. Weatherstripping or caulking can make a big difference in keeping the cold out and the warmth in. 2. Thermostat Smart: If you've got one, lower your thermostat by a few degrees when you're not home or while you're sleeping. A programmable thermostat can help with this. 3. Use Curtains Wisely: Open curtains during the day to let the sun naturally warm your space, and close them at night to trap heat inside. 4. Insulate Attic & Walls: Adding insulation to your attic and walls helps prevent heat from escaping. 5. Replace Central Heating Filters Routinely: Dirty filters can reduce airflow and slows down the time it takes to heat your home. Changing filters routinely--at least every three months--can make your heating systems more efficient. 6. Space Heaters Safely: If using a space heater, ensure it’s ENERGY STAR-rated, and only heat the rooms you're using. 7. Reverse the Ceiling Fan: Many ceiling fans have a reverse switch allowing them to rotate clockwise. This creates an updraft and moves warm air down from the ceiling, helping to warm the room. Stay warm, Hoosiers! ???
