What a fantastic evening at the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce Mixer held at the wonderful Sesame Place water park! It was great to see all the improvements and changes made to incorporate the beloved Sesame Street theme, creating a magical experience for both kids and adults alike. Kudos to Sesame Street for hosting such a delightful event at their new restaurant, which featured amazing food. I had a blast with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Rosita, and Oscar—though we did miss you, Big Bear! A big thank you to CVCC CEO’s Marcy Weaver and Thalia for organizing this mixer and bringing together all our stakeholders! Thank you Mayor McCann, Councilmembers Rachel Morineau and Alonso González for coming to our event! #Sesame Place, #Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce

https://lnkd.in/gw82y66G I want to thank the Board of Education and the Superintendent of the Chula Vista Elementary School District for inviting us to the Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony for Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School last Friday. They offered tours, and I was amazed at the innovative technology that this school will provide to the students in our area. This is their 50th elementary school in Chula Vista. Congratulations to everyone, including Director Martha Irene Garza and all the teachers. I am very proud to live in this community.

I am very honored to have been part of the Cross Border Xpress (CBX), the binational pedestrian sky bridge connecting California with the Tijuana International Airport (TIJ). During the event, they presented their collaborations and held a panel discussion to commemorate a series of successful initiatives to prevent human trafficking at this unique port of entry. Kudos to Jorge Goygortua for his leadership and commitment to social responsibility.
